India’s textile and apparel exports reached a record high in FY2025–26, marking another major milestone for the country’s textile industry.
Exports of textiles, apparel and handicrafts reached around ₹3.25 lakh crore in FY26, up from about ₹3.20 lakh crore in FY25.
Ready-made garments remained the largest export segment, while man-made textiles, silk products and handicrafts also recorded strong growth.
The United States continued to be India’s largest market, with major exports also going to Bangladesh, the UAE, the UK and Germany.
The record performance highlights India’s growing role as a global textile manufacturing and export hub, creating opportunities for manufacturers, exporters and supporting logistics businesses.
Key takeaway: India’s textile exports are reaching new highs as global demand for Indian-made products continues to expand.
